whew. its been more than a month since i last came. there's so much to update that i keep procrastinating too. shall go by e dates. its gonna take long.

7th sept- xiaoting's bdae! haa.. met up with jc frens yaoxu panyue amanda n liying after work. ate at imperial treasures suntec n we spent quite alot. the worse thing was tt e manager told us pay by UOB will get 2 free desserts, n we thot our 2 desserts tt we ordered will b free. instead we got 2 extra bowls of coconuty honeydew sago which doesn suit any of our tastebuds. so much for free food. oh yeah i got e mooncakes from yaoxu! yummy. amanda n yaoxu's leaving sg for further studies overseas le.

8th sept- its a saturday! talked through the night with jean jamie on a conference call. man. cant imagine how much they have to say to each other. slept only around 4pm. they even made me go for the SMRT challenge briefing talk before work =( i worked in call cen w shuhan. brought lotsa things to study n do. again getting demoralised by EG1108 tutorials. slept for awhile in e office. due to not getting enough sleep e previous night. agnes was in e whole day. towards e end of e day blasted some chinese songs in e office. haa..

9th sept- shicheng.

10th sept-the week to decide our hall activities.. e worst part of staying in hall. hmm

13th sept- worked (quite slack cus crowd is super duper slow. i read hardy boys)

14th sept- worked. today's a super suay day cus i lost my fone. super sian. after work wenta clarke quay manhatten in sunesis' car for dinner. present were yen, esther, pam, sunesis, belamy n xiaoqing. haa. okay la.. other than e fact tt mum kept rushing me to go home to settle my lost fone business and that there were lesser n lesser ppl at each gathering.

15th sept- i think i was busy catching up on work. today's e day of HC's mid autumn celeb n i din go down. neither did i send uaoxu off at the airport. sigh

16th sept- day of SMRT challenge. got an unpleasant surprise. jamie got hangover from her cousin's wedding last night n couldn join us. great. but joel pciked me n jean up nevertheless. we enquired abt having one member less...but weren allowed to participate. so wenta eat good breakfast instead. wenta fortunate restaurant i think. in toa payoh. got free train ride as we pretended to be participants still (wearing e red challenge tee). haaa. delicious dim sum breakfast :) den wenta novena walk walk.. where else did we go..oh brewerks for beer n cake n suntec to visit colleagues.but we went back in time to listen to the results plus lucky draw. (figured since we lost our chance to win..should give e lucky draw a go).. who knoes, e lousy emcee was loud n screechy. drove all of us mad. sat down there n ate free prawn crackers from e goodie bag. all super shag by e time e whole silly event ended, taking nothing but goodie bags with us. wenta quality hotel for porridge buffet! i think its worth it. hee. the best part was... i even got a free cab ride to raffles hall cus i used the vouchers provided in the race pack. haaa!

week of 17th sept- started to feel sicker. been skipping lectures n sleeping in.

18th sept- finally appeared at canoe polo training. little did i know i'd be off e boat for more than a month! tried rolls n throwing. i think ive lost a huge fraction of my strength. but e roll thing was kinda exciting. miss my team mates :)

20th sept- extra prac for shicheng. took cab with yubo n joyce. i was too lousy rich n decided to sponsor a huge portion of their cab fair. hais. can claim?? its to clementi, bukit batok den bishan leh! with midnight surcharge. argh.

21st sept- it was a super sick day. i went home immediately after lab lesson..supposedly to practice for concert the next day. dad left for genting this evening. mum left earlier in the week. so now its me n bro.

22nd sept- finally! CONCERT @ esplanade! yays. BUT. i woke up with swollen eyes n fever n a very bad bad throat n swollen lymph nodes. thanks thanks. really very sick n in no condition for concert. things got worse when i tried to park the car. but anyway i wouldn forog this rare chance la.. managed to make my way to bus stop, lousy bus took super long to come. wenta suntec to buy pinle for my breakfast + lunch.. at the same time visit the dros on duty! even they noticed my lousy swollen eye which made me lose my double eyelids.

at esplanade..xiuwan cant recognise me at first. whew. but yeah la grateful to e seniors n juniors who took care of me n asked if i was ok. during rehearsals..i started coughing on stage. wtf! i wasnt before that. had to sneak lozenges on stage during performance. e actual performance went ok..fortunately. felt better after eating the pork porridge for dinner (benson went outside to dabao). little did i know i'd regret eating.

after concert..supposed to go home with my bro. but he's kinda lousy. went back without waiting for me! damn smart. what sort of brother i have. anyway hecked it n went out with xiaoqi, shuxian, jiahui n shengyong. went pacific coffee to sit. they ate n drank. den e doc examined me n said i might have tonsilitis. haha. went with them to bedok 85 market! never been or heard of that place before man. but its a great place! cant eat..only drank sugar cane. throat was unbearable then.

cancelled my work schedule on sunday.

23rd sept- totally lazed at home. only woke up at 2plus.. since i slept close to 3/4pm? went online, watched tv till my parents FINALLY came home late at night. they bought coconut for me cus they know im sick.

24th sept- mum insisted that i wenta see doc. went to polyclinic! arghhh waited for 3 bloody long hours there. den e doc din wanna comment at all.. instead referred me to hospital. at the A & E department.. they took my temp! gosh 39.4! din expect it to be so high. den mum kept going "there...i tell u u canot get fever one.." ya. cus of e idiot mosquito which gave me dengue n when i was younger i had fits cus of fever (hhe, dad put his thumb in my mouth so i wun bite my own tongue off). i was told.. then e bomb came..e nurse told me i cant eat or drink! wah liew. i was already dying for a drop of water n lunch! anyway e wait for e doc is freakin long again. den after e doc see me..still gotta wait. kaos. transferred me to ENT after taking my blood (sigh-not again) to see ANOTHER doc. thanks ah. after some wait.. it was already 5plus. (fyi i left home in e morning ten plus) doc gave me medicine n i can go home! finally.

for the next few days..i slept, watch tv, ate medicine.. tried damn hard to sleep at night (but couldn). my nose was so blocked n inflammed full of phlegm tt i cant breath. had to breathe thru mouth which left it damn dry so i got irritated n decided to watch tv instead. where got ppl sick cant slp one. damn ridiculous.

anyway. i think jamie n wangui called me on 26th wednesday. couldn even say "hello"..wangui considerate, put down fone.. hahaa but tt jamie sim laughed at me! goshhh. at least i can manage to whisper answers to her.

cancelled work on 28th, 29th n 30th. sigh. there goes my income. SIAN

27th sept- ugly red rashes appeared EVERYWHERE. omg omg

28th sept- wenta collect A level cert (finally) n my prize. doc appointment. another long wait. ate duck rice. but it was darn lousy. my yu kee duck rice standard dropped! sheesh. anyway yeah.. my throat became slightly better and i started to eat. meals prep by mum in the day...usually porridge. hee. dreading the scope thing to b slotted into my nose. yeah they use this rubbery thing.. the "scope" to see into ur nose n throat. gross. damn pain la. anyway yeah doc sae mayb got allergy to medicine so he changed my medicine. oh yeah n he tried to coerce me into staying in hospital but i blatantly refused. hate the bloodtests n food when i stayed last year.

wenta chinatown market to eat. haaa it sure feels good to b able to eat n drink (at least). wenta collect my books from hall. its super paiseh cus i was rash-laden.

1st oct- i felt much better. only slight pain in throat but rash was still there. brown n ugly.made my way down to SGH again. i thot i will see as formality den kena discharged or something. who knows.. she wants to ADMIT me! arrrrggghhh. while waiting for admission n all e lousy procedures.. wenta eat delifrance. see? i told u i felt better.. met yingchun. haaa she was acty at the ENT clinic also. coincidence..meeting her in a hospital. what a place man! oh yeah she was e one sitting beside me during concert. haa. my hospital life begins today..

at first, e doc told me very fast can be discharged. but errr NO? and my mum told me this thing is NOT dengue so no blood required. WAH LIEW. BLOOD? they took THRICE.

and initially i din get to choose my meals =( gave me porridge every meal. i nearly died man. wenta request to choose.. den finally i see some hope in hospital food. everyday i eat, drink, bathe, sleep, watch tv..it was really kinda enjoyable. esp the food kept getting better n better.

2 days later.. the docs came visiting on their rounds as usual. come tell me i have *drum rolls* DENGUE!!! but like, huh? i just got it like last year. whatever la. den the skin doc came to see me. felt everywhere, no wonder every male doc needs a female nurse as "witness". hahaha. anyway this is gross but some lymph nodes were found behind my ear n yeah near e groin. spell it.. g-r-o-i-n. den the internl med doc came... say OH maybe its not dengue. might b from e last attack n blah blah i dunno who to believe la. anyway she started feeling all over again. my liver may b mulfuntioning so she wants to order an ultrasound scan. hahah. my this hospital stay very exciting. summore i know insurance paying so i lived like a queen. yeah den some students came..nus 3rd year med students. came to talk to me n TOUCH me. not again. but out of 4,3 were from HC!

anyway..watched all e tv possible. got HBO summore. lols. until e 4th day, i started feeling guilty..read my CS textbook..n MLE too.

visitors..haaa wenjing came on tue i think.. den wangui came on thur. i have wonderful seniors.

5 oct- i can be discharged! but e procedure took damn long. den it dragged till after one.. had to pay for one extra day. much as i'd like to enjoy n live like queen, i think home'd b better for me. the doc came along and did another SCOPE on me. yucks. ate e dinner. wow. very fine meal. they usually have delicious jellies, but this time, it was apple crumble, topped with some nice sauce! gosh. this stay i ate more food to cover for the food i din eat e precious stay.

yayee discharged! BUT i need to go for 3 blood tests, 2 stool tests, 1 ultrasound scan and 2 more doc appointments. coool. so much for "not taking blood cus its not DENGUE".

either stay at home or followed mum out for e rest of the days..had mc till 12th oct.

9th oct- had checkup with doc. den had this hoo-ha about me being changed to private patient, being charged more ex cus i stayed in ward b1. doesn make any sense la. but oh well. managed to get my subsidised status back after some silly business.

was forced to go back to hall to do a meeting for D & D. did not have peace during my sick leave as e MM kept bothering me with sms-es and emails, asking me when i'll get well for a meeting and they can even go down to NUH for a meeting. (they thot i stay NUH). thanks leh. cant rest in peace. had to stay overnight in hall cus meeting only started at 1030hrs. GUESS WHAT? other than e rash itching, there was a gleeful mosquito around, managed to feast on my blood numerous times. i got SO exasperated that i din sleep e whole night. went online to check on e first bus out of this darned place n talk to amanda, who was at cambridge. haha i din even send her off..sigh

10 oct - so i did. 5plus, i made my way out to catch e first 33 at 0603hrs. slept on e bus, took nel home to sleep till 11plus. went out with mum.

(ended 20/10 1645hrs, continued 23/10 1420hrs)

11th oct- holidayy! trip to hatyai thailand :) went over via tiger air with mum. steady man both of us took bus n train to airport instead of cab. ate at the cafe outside..n were e last two dua pai to board the plane. hahha. finally a vacation! hees. there was serious turbulance halfway in midair. my heart nearly flew out. a lady infront screamed! feels like roller coaster. boy! hees went shopping in the departmental store on e first day. bought clothes! damn ex la. but for a change.. had supper at night. delicious thai mango glutinous rice selling at 40baht, mere $1.76 compared to singapore's exorbitant prices. plus they give much much more. keke. also ate tau huay with egg n ginger yummy!

12oct - mum pulled stunt! told me its 9am hurry wake up when its only 0730hrs! she forgot to change her hp clock timing. wenta change room, from standard to big family room to welcome dad later in e afternoon. e room was darn darn big la. two queen beds, one sofa set infornt of e tv n more extra space. comfort! wenta asian hotel for food before making our way on tuktuk to e pasar. wenta our most frequented stalls.. koo leather! haha e person's name is called ah tat. mum always buy the LV bags n wallets from her. so had quite a haul. din manage to find my birkenstocks pirateed edition :( well, i did, but e soles were too slippery. hmm bought a bag n a new purse though. drank fragrant coconut before retuning to zzzz in the hotel. oh yeah did i mention? there was wireless at the hotel lobby! :)

dad came. wenta slack in room again, before deciding to walk walk. went for dinner, foot reflex den wenta hansa plaza for their famous ah-kua show. jus decided to watch it for a change.instead of shopping n shopping non-stop. who knows.. we kinda got cheated. cus.. i thot buying it directly from the counter would be cheaper than buying from their agents out there..instead it was more expensive! wth. but still went in la. omg. some of them looked like real women. but yeah la.. quite funny. hhe. their boobs r like hard rubber balls.

13th oct-whole place damn crowded today cus ppl form msia came up for hari raya. dunnoe why i had e habit of sleeping till damn late. possibly cus of the medicine that will cause drowsiness. dad had to wait long for me to rise. wenta coffee shop to eat breakfast. their yu tiao's super cute. its tiny..like ours, but cut into 6 pieces. super bite-size! =) den..mum went to dye her hair, while me n dad did foot reflex. had lunch at a new place recommended by e massage ppl.. wenta pasar again. visited ah-tat. dad bought shoes n wallet. i bought two pairs of shoes too..for a change. hmms. oh yeah bought a bag for kelvin ang also. shopped for jeans n berms too! what a haul! still short of my comfy leather sandals :( they said no more in production already.

near hotel, bought kueh kueh. fav baked tapioca kueh, boiled sweet tapioca blah blah plus fruits n mango with purple rice. feasted in the room. rested, washed up.. den wenta this pub-like place to eat. full of westerners drinking beer (either tiger or heineken- proud of tiger!) haha. mum din like e place much, so after finishing dad's american fried rice, we siammed to the departmental store.

went to odean shopping mall to shop for dad's clothes. gosh. almost 6000 baht on his shirts! but i was kinda deep in thought for e whole night. din join them for supper, wenta hotel to use internet instead. (using wifi fone)

14th oct- dad gave up. they went shop themselves in the morning, leaving me to snooze till almost eleven. den went out, go reaturant 59- me n mum's fav place cus they have this steamed fish- siam style! looks harmless, but its darn bloody spicy. plus their tom yam soup uses chilli padi. dad din really enjoy. but i certainly did. wenta pasar *again* cus dad still havent manage to find a suitable luggage bag due to me n mum spending too much time shopping for other stuff. wenta visit ah-tat for e last time.. she treated us to coconuts- those big green ones. and she told us e small white ones were actually boiled first before being sold.tt why so fragrant! i like those :) anyways i bought colourful tees! yays

in e afternoon..still super crowded. wenta some cherry massage place for body massage.

today there was a procession going on.. cus this period was when they celebrated jiu wang ye's birthday. gosh some of it looks like thaipusam with kids poking stuff into their faces n bodies. there was once on the way to dinner..i saw a guy using this long sabre to cut his tongue. blood was all over his bare body. what an eye opener. dinner was at the new place we ate for lunch yesterday. like that place cus its like home-cooked food. yummy! n cheap. all our meals in thai have fish! haha im becoming a cat soon. too bad i gotta abstain from seafood, else i'll devour the crabs n prawns around too!

den its back to shopping. this time, i was pretty shagged already. plus i dun like walking thru e same place we walked before cus there's nothing to b re-seen. so mostly its mum trying n i day dreaming. they were closing at 9pm, we went outside those street stalls to look-see. saw many of those voodoo keychains n now thry have spiders too! i bought some smiley faced humans. they r so so cute!

the whole area was really packed. gosh. bought a few more random stuff like my pants before having our usual dessert at night.

15oct - sadly..its the LAST day. i hate to go back to school. urgh. same thing, i slept till 10plus, before going to macs for my breakfast. mum n dad said "there's something special at this macs".. end up it was chicken foldover.with fried chicken patties instead of grilled ones. hhaah -.- den speed-shopped at lee garden plus central departmental store. bought two tops :)

it was time to leave for the airport. ate some oily fried rice there before boarding the plane back. singapore's a great country. hee. bought baileys n some wine at the DFS.

supposed to go for DUCKtours BBQ @ balloon. but joel's flu worsened so i had no transport there. went online instead. slept at home tonight (even better) but din manage to go into slumberland till around 4am. argh been bothered by some stuff.

16th oct- its officially back to school =( decided to give myself more sleep to compensate for e late night.. printed almost $8 worth of notes! went to tutorial feeling like a new student. ahh met junyi (like finally) in school. sat n talked for 1hr..felt enlightened. lol. went to hall to study, did one tutorial den went for lecture. oh. did i mention at all, my stupid room internet's cranky. so i had to go to the library to do my work n watch tv instead. managed to settle another thing tonight. according to plan. phew! now im officially available again

17th oct- school? nicholas came to our room in e morning. went for tutorial lunch n lecture together..den ate at yih before going back to room to do mastering physics. haa felt proud of myself. i actually learnt some stuff during tutorial n i could at least understand some of e mastering physics questions while yiling n him busied themselves doing. again wenta lib to do work, read eg lab and prep for meetingS at night. 9pm-10.30pm one, 10.30pm - 11.40pm another. GOSH. haaa n gues what. i went for supper with nick at 1am in the morning. freakingg hell. but in return i borrowed his eg lab book, which was really useful.

18th oct- happy! its half day of sch n then going HOME! i love home. i cant stand hall. wenjing was at NUH, but too far to go meet la.. den settled wangui's blunder at the central lib. decided to drop by suntec to visited my colleagues! yay.. shy, dill, far n cindy wang at counter. plus esther kym sharon pam yeu agnes dave roger blahblah at office. had a talk with pam. found out one big gossip. haa den talk with captains before going fulushou to meet mum to go home. forgoed my study time to make myself happy. worth it! =) oh yea agnes asked me to do cit..if i can i'll haf majority of e dates.. but hahaha not really alot of dates to give. but icit i wanna do!

19th oct- its esther's birthday! studied abit in e morning. wenta suntec (again) to have lunch with them. esther, pam, yeu, sharonyee, heather..at the indonesian restaurant. forgot e name. sad. i couldn eat the sotong. looks so tempting. wenta toapayoh to meet mum, did work while waiting for her to finish her business. whew. maths test tomorrow! dinner with family at fork n spoon.

20th oct- maths retest! "proportionally harder" was MUCH harder. wtf. i felt very cheated. its harder than any of the past year papers i did. not really fair. ate a yam pie after the test to make myself feel better. started blogging, den wenta meet parents at vivo. mum did a number port thing to her line..i got a 3G card.. den wenta eat dinner at the flower shop at the basement. rabbit told me not nice.. but mum n i think its okay leh. their mushroom soup is delicious! stopped over at serangoon garden to da pao hokkien mee for bro's dinner. at the same time, being a horrible glutton (YES, i got my humongous appetite back,so what if i've lost weight?):) i bought bbq chicken wings n choc cake n portugese egg tart (which i thot was banana caramel pudding).

21st oct- sundayy! im working. was on time. but e office door was LOCKED. ate my tomyam noodles n drank my soya bean outside while waiting for dill to come open door. in the end i had to go counter instead of call cen cus shy wasnt uniformed! argh there goes my day of studying. but haha i think i worked very hard at counter! my sales made up more than half of the day's sales. although i din do any boarding i realised i was perspiring even behind e counter. argh. suntec's hot! its been a rewarding day. i spoke to many thais..they'r having a 4 day hol cus of their king's grandad's bdae i think. haha. after work, i wenta kfc to tuition cheryl. been 12hours of work. and i made quite alot of money in a day! =) no studying though.

22nd oct- i skipped school to "study". lunch was kfc delivery n dinner wenta sin ming to eat, followed by kfc supper. rocks.

23rd oct- today! happy birthday to dadddy! gimme bdae luck for the EG1108 retest i have later. been reading thru tutorials. i think im understand abit more. but i still neeed to be enlightened.

haaaa going to school soon! can see im rushing thru my entries. tatas. shall do a review when im freeier. here's my sched for e rest of e week. no time for anything else!
